Mr. Lane began his legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York City, where he spent five years as a litigation attorney. In 1996, he co-founded the litigation firm of Shapiro & Lane, LLP. He joined Lane Sash & Larrabee LLP as a partner in April 2003.

Mr. Lane has represented a wide range of corporate and individual clients, from Asia, Europe, Eastern Europe and the United States, in both transactional and litigation matters. His litigation experience includes securities litigation, RICO, shareholder and derivative litigation, intellectual property, employment law, international commercial law, UCC, constitutional law, antitrust law, civil rights law, fiduciary obligations, estate litigation, alternative dispute resolution, real estate, general contract disputes and many other varieties of commercial litigation. He practices in federal and states courts across the United States, and in various other forums. His several law review articles have been widely cited by commentators and courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Recent areas of increased specialization include legal issues related to the Internet.
